Former Director of Projections at the Ministry of Planning, this Tunisian economist (Ph.D. in Economics from Sorbonne) has held several other high-ranking positions at both national and international levels. He was the former Director-General of Planning and Studies at the Ministry of Transport, as well as at the Tunisian Institute of Competitiveness and Quantitative Studies. He also served as the former Minister of Transport in the transitional government in 2011. Since 2012, he has worked as a consultant in the field of transportation, integrated maritime policy, logistics, and the blue economy. He was the Regional Officer for the European Commission for its integrated maritime policy project, and currently, he serves as the Tunisia National Hub for the European project Westmed.
